Wichita-Built Aircraft Shine at EAA AirVenture as Skyhawk Orders Roll In
Textron Aviation brought new Cessna and Beechcraft models to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh and announced a fresh order of 15 training aircraft from a major flight school.
Wichita-built aircraft took center stage at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in late July, as Textron Aviation showcased new models and announced fresh orders for its training fleet.
The company brought the Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 and the Beechcraft King Air 360 Crimson Edition to the show for their debut, displaying them alongside a broad lineup of Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft. AirVenture is one of the largest aviation gatherings in the world, drawing enthusiasts and buyers from across the globe.
During the show, Textron Aviation announced that ATP Flight School had ordered 15 Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft, adding to strong demand for training airplanes as the industry works to counter a persistent shortage of pilots. The Skyhawk remains one of the most widely used training aircraft in the world.
For Wichita, the announcements were a reminder that the aircraft rolling off local production lines continue to find customers around the world, from flight schools to fleet operators.
