Kansas Titleholders Set Sights on the National Pageant Stage
After summer crownings in Wichita and Pratt, Kansas's new pageant titleholders turned their attention to preparing for national competition.
With their crowns freshly won, Kansas's newest pageant titleholders spent the summer preparing for the national stage, continuing a tradition that draws considerable attention across the state each year.
Madilynn Becker was crowned Miss Kansas USA 2026 at the Wichita Center for Performing Arts in early June and will represent the state at the Miss USA competition. On the Miss America side, Ta'Liyah Lewis of Wichita was crowned Miss Kansas' Teen at Pratt Community College and is set to compete for the Miss America's Teen title in West Palm Beach, Florida, in September.
The pageants, which blend interview, talent, and stage competition with community-service platforms, remain a visible part of Kansas's summer calendar and a launching point for young women pursuing scholarships and public-service work.
Organizers said the titleholders would spend the months ahead making community appearances and preparing for competition, carrying the state's banner to the national spotlight.
